• We have youth board across America
• Our main office for this region is located in the
  Madison Mall

Some Stats

• Suicide is the number two cause of death for
  Minnesotans age 15 to 44!
• Suicide attempts are also the number two cause
  of hospitalization in Minnesota

• There is a Yellow Ribbon Hotline that you may
  call!
• The Number is 1-800-784-2433

The Region 9 Grant

• There are Many Counties with this Grant
• This grant was given to us in hopes of lower
  Minnesota Suicide Rate
• Some of them are the counties Le Sueur,
  Nicollet, Brown, Jackson, Waseca.

• There are several different things on our site.
• There are places to get Stats, Help!
• You can go there and see if there are any job
  openings
• There is volunteer work

• Like T-shirts Sweatshirt, Hats
• There are Classes that can be brought to a Yellow
  Ribbon Worker comes and talks to you.
• One Came to our school.

When Someone Comes to You

• If someone comes to you with a Yellow Ribbon
  Card, Do not be there counselor!
• Get them Help, Call that number for them!
• Do not leave them!

• What if someone tells you that they want to die?
• Tell SOMEONE!
• Do people always tell them that they are
  suicidal?
• No, but there are many signs so pay attention.

• 4.5 Million Card have been handed out.
• That number is still growing
• More Than 2,500 Lives have been saved
• 38,000 letters asking for help telling of lives
  saved have been received.
