• Malta is an island in the Mediterranean
  Sea, 58 miles south of Sicily, Italy

• Malta has no mountains or rivers
• Majority of its fields are small and terraced
• There is not much rain, and low hills
• There is a 137 kilometer shoreline
• There are many bays and harbors
• There are lots of small, sandy beaches and rocky
  caves but only 2 of the shoreline is made up of
  sandy beaches
• The lowest point is at the Mediterranean Sea at
  0 meters high
• The highest point is TaDmejrek at 253 meters
  high

• Their religion is mostly Roman Catholic
• The people are Italian and Maltese
• They speak Maltese, Italian, and English
• Weasels, bats, and hedgehogs are native to Malta
