    Library Program
  • Partnering with State Libraries
  • Goal If you can get to a public library, you
    can get to the Internet
  • 46,000 PCs distributed to 11,000 libraries in the
    U.S. and Canada
  • Targeted libraries serving less affluent
    communities

The Gates Program in Wisconsin
  • In 2003, 51 of WI public libraries received 681
    GLCs 58 libraries received servers
  • Seven libraries received training labs
  • Over 3.1 million in hardware and software
  • In 2004-06, DLTCL received 286,850 for staff
    training
  • 85 allocated to library systems

I did need to speak with our technical support
for the network to know how to remove the
Centurion guard hardware and re-insert. I had not
removed this piece of hardware prior to this
experience.
