Europe. A proposal by CINDI collaborators (first
draft) was submitted to Regional Director
on 3 November 2003.

2. Intervention initiatives to prevent NCD at
national and international levels

promote physical activity and nonpharmaceutical

CINDI/EuroPharmForum project on pharmacy-based
hypertension Management in 6 pilot countries. In
2003, FIN, GER, MDA, URK joined the
project. Quit and Win preparatory work for the
2004 campaign was started

disease prevention International The 6th CINDI
Winter School hosted by CINDI-Finland The 2nd
Evidence Based Public Health Course on Chronic
Disease Prevention hosted by CINDI-Austria. A
joint effort of the WHO/CINDI programme, Centres
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),
Atlanta, USA, St. Louis University, School of
Public Health, USA, CINDI/Austria, CINDI/Canada,
CINDI/Finland and CINDI/Lithuania The 1st
training course on evidence based NCD prevention
organized by CINDI-Russia with the participation
of neighbouring Countries 2nd edition of the
CINDI document Prevention in primary care (in
Russian) for distribution in Central Asian
Republics
