All about her

• Ellen is the daughter of Steven Whitaker and
  niece of international riders John and Michael.
  Based at Siltstone, near Barnsley Ellen lives
  with her parents Steven and Carol and brothers
  Joe, Tom and Donald. Backed by the expertise
  and knowledge of her father, Steven, second of
  the four Whitaker sons, and great enthusiasm of
  her mother, Ellen has had her sights on the very
  top of the show jumping ladder from an early age.
  As the niece of international riders John and
  Michael, Ellen has two key
• figures influencing her style and technique,
  spending many hours watching them compete and
  learning from their accuracy against the clock.
