Title: Kubis Environmental Measures
1Kubis Environmental Measures
2Environmental Management
A long-term environmental vision and 3R action
principles Kubis has introduced environmental
management based on the ISO 14001 standards since
2005. Kubis is currently undergoing ISO 14001
certification to advance our operations further.
All employees follow the 3D action principals
which are Reduce, Re-use and Recycle under the
Green long-term environmental vision.

4Eco-friendly Products Services
Reducing the environmental load in daily
operations Kubis aims to reduce the
environmental load of its business activities by
managing every process in accordance with ISO
14001 standards. Our efforts include the
establishment of environmental goals and
objectives as well as quantitative assessments of
benchmarks in environmental performance.
5Environmental Conservation at the Workplace
- Resource efficiency and Reduced use of substances
with environmental load - The Kubis factory conducts environmental
management based on voluntary standards far more
stringent than regulations require. - In addition to conserving energy and reducing CO2
emissions, we focus on two themes relevant to our
business as a manufacturer - and importer of office furniture in planning
environmental activities. - Reducing the use of substances with environmental
load - Effectively using resources
6Product Design
Product design incorporate Green design
principals
Kubis incorporates GREEN design principals when
developing new product lines. They are to include
non-toxic recycled material which require
little energy to process. The components used
will be longer-lasting and better functioning due
to the use of precision tooling that governs the
production of components. New products are
designed for afterlife use and are therefore 95
recyclable. The design of standard modular parts
allow for repairs rather than complete
replacement.
7Efficient Process
Kubis Production System (KPS) Process
The KPS program aims to reduce the traditional
manufacturing process from a minimum of 22 stages
to a maximum of 7 stages. The system will phase
out 100 manufactured products and phase in kit
form products that require upholstery assembly
only. Design is a fundamental part of the KPS
Process. An increase in transport costs and
products delivered per region determine where
products should be assembled and distributed.
