What is a Compliance Certification Report?
  • It is one of two major reports that is required
    by The Southern Association of Colleges and
    Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to
    partially satisfy reaffirmation requirements.
  • It is a rigorous internal review process during
    which the institution is evaluated against a
    common set of standards in an effort to promote
    improvements.

What are Standards?
  • A list of 73 principles and standards found in
    Principles of Accreditation Foundations for
    Quality Enhancement
  • Four major sections include Integrity, Core
    Requirements, Comprehensive Standards, and
    Federal Requirements.

What must WCJC do for compliance?
  • Show that WCJC has resources, programs, and
    services sufficient to accomplish and sustain its
    mission
  • Provide evidence that WCJC is successful in
    achieving its stated objectives

How does WCJC prove compliance?
  • Submit a concise report narrating WCJC processes,
    and
  • Provide supporting documentation for evidence of
    current practices

How do we develop the narratives?
  • It is typically an administrator-dominated
    process
  • A Compliance Committee is appointed by the
    College President

    and Comprehensive Standards as noted in the

    review amend (draft 3)
