The Work Plan Actionable Goals
  • Goal 1
  • The Associates to the Executive Committee
(one from each zone) will develop a
communications and dissemination plan that will
facilitate the work of various committees and
charged by ACTEA leadership. This networking
approach will be founded on 21st century
    technologies, and modeled after effective
processes currently used in highly efficient
    organizations.
  • Goal 2
  • The Associates to the Executive Committee will
develop and implement a clearly articulated set
of processes and tools that will facilitate work
    plans, communication strategies, and decision
    making protocols, and meeting forums.

The Work Plan Actionable Goals
  • Goal 3
  • By March, 2009 the Associates to the Executive
Committee will report out to the Executive
Committee no fewer than three measurable outcomes
from their efforts over the previous year. These
    outcomes may include
  • Clarifying the primary roles of the ACTEA, CTERC
and regional BOCES / Big Five School Districts as
it relates to policy, technical support and
    guidance.
  • Identifying gaps in the leadership and guidance
that ACTEA provides to the field, and
    recommendations to improve.
  • Providing advocacy for policy reform in New York
State through the sharing of best practice
achieved in the past decade in Career and
    Technical Education.
  • Using current and emergent technologies to
facilitate the effectiveness of all ACTEA
    initiatives within NY State.

9
Work to Date
  • Development of a Wiki (ACTEA101_at_pbwiki.com) for
    asynchronous interaction and information sharing
between the Associates to the Executive Committee
  • Use of Safari Live for synchronous communication
    and planning
  • Development and implementation of on-line surveys
(Zoomerang) to elicit input from the field on
issues identified by the Executive Committee to
    be pertinent to their work
  • Ongoing collaboration with the Executive
