- There are three methods of improving quality.
These are, - Kaizen

workers can become multi skilled. All workers
have a responsibility for improving quality.
15Quality Circle
Groups of workers meet together to discuss how to
improve the quality of their products.
Improves communication
Workers become more interested in their work
Other benefits

16Benchmarking
This is when a firm compares themselves to other
businesses. This allows them to see how they are
doing. Things to compare Output per
worker Quality Stock levels.
17Stock Control Just In Time

- Stocks arrive when the company needs them (just
in Time). The arrive in the right quantity. - You do not need warehouses to store spare stock a
business will reduce costs. - However need good relationship with suppliers.
