and the short time period included in the cohort,
the results should be considered as preliminary
and are subject to change based on future data
submission or correction. Conclusions regarding
recent data should be made with caution.
3COHORT

limited to electronic notifications made between
May 1, 2007, and January 30, 2008, and reported
by February 22, 2008, with the following
exclusions - Non-electronic offers (made by either an OPO or
the Organ Center) - Import matches (donor recovered by one OPO but
match run by another OPO) - Matches not yet closed
4REPORTING CONVENTIONS
- In this report heart matches and heart-lung
matches are reported combined for many of the
tabulations. A heart may be placed off of either
type of match a heart-lung may be placed off of

12PERCENTAGE OF "EXHAUSTED" MATCH RUNS BY
DSAKidney Matches Run Between 9/13/07 and
12/31/07
NOTE Different scales are used by organ type for
exhausted graphics.
An exhausted match is defined as one in which
(1) the PTR was closed at the last candidate on
the match run (i.e., the closed number is the
same as the sequence number of the last candidate
appearing on the match) and (2) there is a
response for the last candidate appearing on the
match. To be considered an exhausted match, the
organ was not accepted on this or any match run
for this organ type.
