Implementation Plan Summary

• Hopefully everyone can explain the NEWS roadmap
• Need to establish the sequence for publication of
  NEWS IP
  
• Would prefer to do this prior to morphing NEWS IP
  into entire focus area document.
  
• Allow for community leadership
• Allow for coordination with intra- and
  inter-agency activity
  
• Prevent rushing entire focus area document

Suggested Sequence for NEWS IP

• Team signoff (2 weeks)
• Review from J. Kaye and G. Williams for message
  not content
  
• Put on website and announce to community
• Collect community comments
• Length of comment period needs to be coordinated
  with NRA due to sensitivities

• NEWS Team generates responses to community
  comments
  
• Internal NASA review of IP, comments, and
  reaction to comments
  
• ESSAAC (?)
• Formal or informal Academy review (?)
• Issue of which group (COHS, BASC, Space Studies)
• Publish IP
• Create website for living aspect of document
