USA Project
  • TEAM MEMBERS
  • Andrew Bartus
  • Roberto Colon
  • Albert Kim

18
Motivation
  • This project was inspired by the thought that
many students in elementary school have a hard
time learning geographic information about the
United States by studying traditional maps our
intent is to provide an educational resource to
children so that they may learn about the
geography of the United States in a fun way.

19
Goals of USA project
  • An interactive map of the United States with
illuminated states and capitals that will help
the children learn about the geography of the
    United States
  • USA project mounted in wall frame to hang on the
    wall for easy presentation
  • Utilize different colors to help children
visually identify each state through the color
    difference

20
Semester Progress
  • Game detail design
  • Game procedure and instruction
  • Auto CAD design for USA project game board
  • LED circuits design with button activation
  • 7-segment LED score display circuit design
  • Timeline

21
AutoCAD design
22
Goals for Next Semester
  • Finalize design
  • Build game board
  • Build LED circuits
  • Build 7 segment LED score updating module

23
Creative Problem Solving Workshops
  • Egg Drop
  • Team Members
  • Fred Grandlienard
  • Matt Hockemeyer

24
Standard The Nature of Science and Technology
  • Students work collaboratively to carry out
investigations. They observe and make accurate
measurements, increase their use of tools and
instruments, record data in journals, and
    communicate results through graphical, written,
and verbal forms. Students repeat investigations,
    explain inconsistencies, and design projects.
