Light Intensity
  • Fast Plant Project
  • By Melissa Gerace
  • Julie Anderson

2
Fast Plant Set-up
  • High Intensity Light
  • 7 plants ( A toG )
  • Medium Intensity Light
  • 7 plants ( H to N )
  • Low Intensity Light
  • 7 plants ( O to U )

3
Hypothesis
  • The stronger the light intensity the greater the
    plant height will be
  • In our experiment the closest plant to the light
will be the tallest and the plant farthest away
    will be the shortest

4
Light Intensity
  • Three groups of Plants

5
Light Intensity
  • Three Levels of Light

6
Light Intensity
  • Three Growth differences

True Leaf Data
  • For this graph we took an average of true leaves
for each group and our results show a difference
in the amount of true leaves that support our
    hypothesis

14
Our Results
  • To support our hypothesis our results show a
significant difference of plant height between
    the three groups
  • We also found the same results with the number of
true leaves, meaning that group A had the most
,and Group C had the least
  • Also, our results show that only one plant from
group A (high intensity) produced 6 flowers
    and 1 pod.

Conclusions
  • Based on our statistical and experimental results
our original hypothesis proved to be accurate
  • The higher the light intensity to the plant, the
stronger and more productive the growth
