Community Development Commissioning
  • Commissioning discrete pieces of community

    of community development work as specified by the
    city council
  • Projects funded reflect local priorities and help
    to strengthen links between the citys diverse
    communities
  • Budget 06/07 250,000

  • Typical project cost 15,000 - 25,000

  • Activities for older people run by older people

Global Grants 2004-2006
  • Funding for projects with main aim of increasing
    skills and improving employability
  • European (ESF) underlying aim to increase
    accessibility of ESF to organisations that dont
    have the capacity to apply
  • Projects must be aimed at a particular interest
    group or unemployed individuals from a
    neighbourhood
  • 3 year programme with 10,000 available to each
    applicant organisation over the funding period
  • 110,000 remaining to allocate
  • Potential of extra funding outstanding bid to
    extend programme
  • Organisations must have annual income of under
    200,000 and not previously had any ESF funding
    to be eligible
  • Support available to organisations at application
    stage
