General Comments on pp Elastic Scattering

• The experiment has a strong relation to the rest
  of the RHIC program both AA and spin.
• Number of binary collisions in AA Nbinary ?
  sinelTAA(b), sinel ? 42 mb comes out of
  interpolation. An error on sinel 2mb results in
  error on Nbinary comparable to the error in
  uncertainty in the Woods Saxon
• Spin flip amplitude, f5 and polarimetry pp2pp
  will measure if there is a hadronic spin flip
  contribution

Elastic scattering exp. studies very interesting
and unexplored region of QCD
The experiment can be executed stand alone or in
conjunction with for big part of the physics
program
