• The radiology request is required for all
  radiology appointments. The form appears as part
  of the regular appointment booking pathway when a
  Radiology Resource is selected.

Radiology Requisition
All fields are required including the Attending
Clinician and the Ordering Clinician. A change
has been made to the Radiology Request in OSCAR
so that only valid Attending Physicians show in
the Attending field and only valid Ordering
Physicians show in the Ordering field.

The Attending Clinician will bill for charges.
Who can be an Attending Clinician?

Define Attending Clinician
The Attending Physician manages patient care,
patient information, and with the Ordering
Clinician develops a treatment plan for the
patient.

The Attending Clinician supervises the Ordering
Clinician.

Attending Physicians name must be posted with
all medical charges to insure payment by
insurance carriers.

An Ordering Clinician can be a Physician,
Resident, Fellow, Nurse Practitioner, or Mid-Wife.

An Ordering Clinician is able to order tests and
procedures for patients under the direction of an
Attending Physician.

Define Ordering Clinician
An Ordering Clinician receives test and lab
results and consults with the Attending Physician
regarding appropriate treatment.

Can an Ordering Clinician be an Attending
Clinician?
Yes, but not all Ordering Clinicians can be an
Attending Clinicians.
