64Why contact the nurse?
- If your child has (a) Special Medical
Condition(s) such as vision hearing loss,
diabetes, seizures, asthma. Severe allergies may
require the need for medication or medical
treatments during the school day. - The school office will provide the needed forms.
Consultation with your school nurse may be
helpful.
65What about medications at school?
- The only drugs allowed on campus are prescribed
by a physician or your Health Care Provider and
provided by parents / guardians. - If your child needs medication, you and your
physician or HCP will complete the medication
authorization form. - OTC (over the counter) and prescription
medications must have prior medical approval
before coming on campus. Adults must transport
all controlled substances.
