Moving Forward Needs Assessment
  • Using Eclipse software, determined districtwide
student learning needs. Example 100 percent of
our schools scored below or well below proficient
    in statistics and probability questions.
  • Identified very specific high impact areas on
    WKCE.
  • Identified score trends over time, eliminating
the argument that the results are too dated to
    be helpful.
  • Using a survey instrument, matched teacher
perceptions of professional learning needs with
    documented student learning needs.
  • Identified a significant awareness gap (e.g.,
teachers perceive they are presenting content
with a high degree of instructional efficacy
however, results indicate that students may not
    be learning the content).
