• To be eligible to register to vote in Texas, any
  United States citizen residing in Texas who is
• At least 18 years old on Election Day
• Not a convicted felon (unless sentence, probation
  and/or parole are completed)
• Not declared mentally incapacitated by a court of

You must be at least 17 years and 10 months of
age on the date you apply In other words, you
were born before January 26, 1990.

Registering with Selective Service

• All men living in the U.S. must register with the
  Selective Service System within 30 days of their
  18th birthday.

• U. S. Citizenship
• Federal Student Loans and Grants
• State Student Aid, and even admission to some
  state schools
• Job Training
• Most Federal jobs and jobs with the U.S. Postal
  Service

What if I dont register?

• Its the lawnot to do so is a felony offense,
  punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a fine
  of up to 250,000.

When do I register?

• Selective Service NOW accepts early submission of
  registration information by men who are 17 years
  and 3 months old so that they will be
  automatically registered when they turn 18.
