The 3GSM World Congress
What is it?
The 3GSM World Congress 2006 was the leading
event for the mobile technology industry. More
than 50,000 visitors attended the fair held in
Barcelona in 2006. 3GSM World Congress 2007
promises to be even stronger, reflecting the
increasing importance of mobile technologies.
These technologies are now routinely used by a
third of the population. It will be a showcase
to the world of the latest technolgies, services
and developments in this sector.

3GSM coverage in VNUnet.es
VNUnet.es will repeat its coverage of the 2006
event for the 2007 3GSM World Congress, creating
a special area within its webs where journalists
will cover the event live from the fair floor.
Coverage will include videos, audio broadcasts,
reports, breaking news, etc. The special will

  • The publication REDES TELECOM follows the 3GSM
    fair every year in its print edition, dedicating
    a large part of its editorial coverage to the
    information generated at the 3GSM event that
    marks the rhythm of the mobility market
    throughout the year. In the last edition,
    exhibiting companies placed great emphasis on
    UMTS technology, the progress of HSDPA, the
    importance of television via mobile and bandwidth
    for mobile devices all of these issues have
    proven to be key matters for the industry in
    2006.

  • This year REDES TELECOM will not only attend
    the 3GSM World Congress, but will also sound the
    opinion of the major companies attending and
    exhibiting at the event. Its coverage will also
    include informing its readers about launches,
    previews and breaking news during 3GSM 2007.

MICROSITE FEATURES

VNU Conferencias, as part of the vnu.net network,
can organise web seminars for clients. These
seminars are interactive online events,
trasmitted to unlimited viewers via the Internet
using the lastest recording technologies. Image
quality is of television standard. A client can
choose a web seminar limited to qualified users
from a specific area, the entire national
territory or open to a pan-European audience.
The target audience is defined according to the
clients needs. VNU provides the technology, the
event moderator, consultation services with
regard to content and speaker selection,
convocatory plus media coverage for the event.

the globe via Internet, although the sponsor can
decide to limit or qualify the audience in any
way. All anyone needs to attend a web seminar is
