Title: Polarized electron SRF gun
1Polarized electron SRF gun
ILC requires a flat beam with a horizontal
normalized emittance of 8 µ and a vertical
emittance of 0.02 µ with a bunch charge of 3.2
nC at the output of the damping ring. This is
equivalent to
In simulations we achieve a 4D emittance of 0.75
µ at the entrance of the converter. This is less
that a factor of 2 from the requirement, and
there is room for improvement.
