Conclusions

• Positive for EU15
• traditions of EU cities to follow SD, mutual
  exchange of experiences and/or voluntarily
  acceptance of policies, implementation of EMAS,
  SEA proccesses
• Positive for SK
• consumption patern of the Slovak citizens
• dominance of individual car transport
• Comparable
• accessibility of green areas and services,
  unsufficient public participation of citizens,
  air pollution and noise level are similar

Recomendations

• Evaluation process should continue 5 years
  period
• Creation of network - sustainable cities in
  Slovakia
• Financial support - grant programmes, state
  support, higher territorial units support
• Interest of Slovak cities
• Detailed results, conclusions and
  recommendations are presented in English
  publication.
