DEFINITION

• The Paul Harris Society of District 5150 is a new
  level of recognition for those donors who make a
  commitment to contribute 1,000 or more each year
  to The Rotary Foundation.

GUIDELINES

• Each DONOR must give a minimum 1,000 per year to
  qualify.
• Only NEW MONEY counts towards PHS membership.
• RECOGNITION POINTS DO NOT count.
• Contributions to The Permanent Fund DO NOT
  qualify towards membership in the PHS.
• Membership in the PHS will be determined as
  contributions are recorded by The Rotary
  Foundation.
• PLEDGES only DO NOT count towards membership in
  the PHS.

Questions and Answers

• The Paul Harris Society pledge is for a "new
  money" gift of US 1,000 a year which must be
  paid during the Rotary year (by June 30) though
  it need not be paid in one check.  You may pay in
  installments. 
• The first 100 members will be designated Charter
  Members of the District 5150 Paul Harris
  Society.
• The best payment method is via the internet
  directly with The Rotary Foundation at
  www.rotary.org or through TRF-DIRECT.

• With each 1,000 gift you may NAME a new Paul
  Harris Fellow. 
• This is unrestricted giving.  All Paul Harris
  Society gifts are designated for the Annual
  Programs Fund.  100 goes to fund Foundation
  programs. In three years The Rotary Foundation
  will return 50 of the Districts Annual Giving
  to the District as District Designated Funds
  (DDF).

Questions and Answers

• All previous personal gifts to the Foundation are
  counted toward Major Donor recognition however,
  your Paul Harris Society membership begins upon
  your contribution in the current Rotary year
  2006-2007.
• A personal gift already made to the 2006-2007
  Annual Programs Fund counts toward your Paul
  Harris Society pledge.  Example  If you've
  already made a 200 gift to the Foundation this
  Rotary year you can become a Paul Harris Society
  member with the gift of an additional 800.

• If your club has sent, or will send, your gift to
  Rotary International please make certain YOU are
  recorded as the DONOR of the US 1,000. 
  Recognitions are ordered when the gift is
  recorded.
• The Paul Harris Society of District 5150 is OUR
  DISTRICT'S OWN recognition society.  Although
  recognized by Rotary International, the Paul
  Harris Society recognition is produced and
  awarded by the District, NOT Rotary
  International.

• Payment can be made online at www.rotary.org
• Use TRF-DIRECT to automatically transfer funds
  from a U.S. based checking, savings or credit
  card account to The Rotary Foundation on an
  ongoing basis.
• (US85/month 250/quarter 1,000/year)
