Public Outreach Overview

• Our goal is to create meaningful dialog with the
  residents, businesses and stakeholders within
  Napa County to help develop the General Plan
  Update

Napa GPU Website

• Established web site for GPU in October
• Currently provides all, information and data
  related to the process
• 16 unique visits to Hispanic site
• Future additions may include surveys and/or
  preference studies

Stakeholder Outreach

• We have developed a comprehensive database of all
  municipal agencies in Napa County
• We have completed a comprehensive list of
  community and faith-based groups
• PMC increased the Countys electronic database to
  more than 7,600 County residents

Stakeholder Outreach

• We have produced and distributed two electronic
  newsletters and will continue to produce these as
  dictated by action of this committee
• We are also distributing email notices for
  upcoming meetings, workshops and events
• PMC staff has been responding to email and phone
  inquiries
• Proving biweekly reports on media, progress and
  action items

Hispanic Outreach

• Individual contacts with 70 leaders and
  representatives of the Hispanic Community
• Presentations community groups
• Development of all materials in Spanish
• Staffing of a phone line for questions in Spanish
  
• Creation of a Spanish website

Hispanic Outreach

• PMC conducted intercept interviews with nearly
  300 Hispanic residents
• Information to be utilized by committee in future
  discussions
• Developed specific Hispanic news media and radio
  outreach.

Workshops and Meetings

• Conducted scoping meetings for EIR process
• Planning three upcoming workshops for Land Use
  Napa Pipe, Anguin and Yountville

Collateral Development

• General Plan Brochure completed for distribution
  at upcoming workshops
• PSAs to promote upcoming workshops
• Video for use at public presentations, civic
  workshops and for play in local cable access
• General Plan tool kit

Future Collateral Development

• Additional PSAs promoting the completion of the
  General Plan
• A booklet explaining the proposed General Plan
  Update to the public
• Additional newsletters

The Committees Role

• Continue to promote process and encourage public
  participation
• Provide staff with any feedback, comments or
  suggestions received from stakeholders
