If a DOT number cannot be found using any of the
methods, submit a Material Number Request Form
(copy can be found on the ncbussafety.org
website). This form must be filled out
completely, including a 9-digit VMRS code, and
submitted to the BSIP helpdesk for processing.

• Use an asterisk () as a wildcard character in
  the search field.
• An asterisk before and after the known
  information will return any data with the
  characters your have designated.
• Make sure the match is in a material group that
  school transportation is authorized to use.
• Select a material by double-clicking on the
  material number.
