The Vados Systems vadEDGE 4200 SADIS 2G Router
can present the data stream to the end user in
three formats UDP/IP TCP/IP X.25 Over a
broadcast only Satellite stream?

Over a broadcast only stream?
The Vados Systems vadEDGE 4200 router spoofs
the return communications for both TCP/IP and
X.25, therefore making the end device believe it
has a live duplex connection to the host.

Resilience
UDP/IP Multiple devices on the LAN can listen to
the stream at the same time. TCP/IP The Vados
unit can be configured with a Primary and Backup
host. When a session needs to be established the
unit will poll round the servers until it finds
an active one. X.25 The Vados unit can be
configured with multiple WAN ports, which ever is
active will receive the data.

Migration from 1G to 2G

• The 1G system comprises Satellite antenna LNB,
  Astrium receiver and X.25 workstation
• To upgrade to 2G, it is necessary to replace the
  Astrium receiver with a demodulator and a vadEDGE
  4200 SADIS 2G Router
• The X.25 workstation can be re-utilised or
  alternatively IP based workstations can be used,
  which can be either TCP/IP or UDP/IP multicast
• vadEDGE SADIS 2G Router can support higher speeds
  when available in the future
