4Design for Learning
benefits of reflection Enables you to engage
in critique, ask searching questions, consider
alternatives 1. What good things happened this
year? 2. What were your learning experiences? 3.
What will you take with you into 2008? 4. What
will you discard or leave behind?
5 good practice is complex, situated,
specific no theory can fully describe it we
know more than we can tell (Polanyi) social
process of learning (Vygoksy, Wenger) thick/fat
case studies (Glenaffric) legitimate
peripheral participation

7- Some reflections from the team
- The CAMEL model has really worked well.
- I think we have become a close knit team where
all our talents have been appreciated. - Being involved in a project where all the project
partners have experimented with new technology to
see what its impact is on teaching and learning
has been exciting. - Im impressed by what we have achieved
collectively so far and look forward to seeing
further results from the partners.
8- Some reflections from the team
- We have all worked hard to understand how to use
learning design tools and developed suitable
learning designs for our students. - Creating our designs, critiquing them internally
and having the confidence to allow other partners
in the project to critique them too has been a
great experience. - When delivering our learning designs I felt sure
that they were as good as they could be.
9- Some reflections from the team
- The friendship and team work of such a focused
group of individuals has been a wonderful
experience. - I learnt how Loughborough is taking LAMS
forward into several curriculum areas. How Leeds
will use LAMS with Moodle. How successful
Greenwich Community College has been getting
practitioners to use Moodle with the support of
their learning guides. How well Dartford is
transforming teaching by using the LAMS Moodle
integration.
