AWARDS FOR ALL
  • Grants of up to 10,000 in any 2 year period,
    available at Regional level.
  • Currently under-subscribed DSC the easiest
    money ever.
  • Available to not-for-profit groups with a bank
    account requiring at least 2 people as
    signatories, can use the grant within a year.
  • Grants to fund a specific project or activity.

AIMS
  • Extend access and participation
  • Increase skill and creativity (including
    encouraging talent raising standards)
  • Improve the quality of life local projects
    which improve peoples opportunities, health,
    welfare etc.
  • Regional priority criteria need to be addressed,
    but almost all regions include increasing access
    to up-skilling wider cross-section of
    community support for OP, YP, disadvantaged
    and/or volunteers.

EXCLUDES
  • Activities which the state should provide, but
    can include extra-curricular programmes
  • Ongoing establishment costs ongoing core
    activities
  • Salaries.
  • CPD delivery for teachers would not qualify,
    unless targeted to increase access. AOTTs (ASLs)
    training could be eligible.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Regions would qualify if
  • Dependent branch of another organisation
  • Governing document (MOU)
  • Letter of endorsement from parent organisation
  • Latest annual accounts/statement of IE
  • 3 consecutive months recent, original bank
    statements photocopies for A4A retention
  • Bank details
  • Disinterested referee must complete q 19, eg
    SDO, CEO, local councillor, MP, senior bank
    official, SE officer

  • afPEs inclusion agenda
  • Special needs activities, eg dissemination of
    capacity to deliver for children with motor
    learning difficulties
  • BME links and coalitions, activities (CEMVO)
  • Physical activity health messages
  • Parent power raising awareness of NCPE
  • Child protection capacity among people delivering
    extended curriculum

  • Regions consider relationship with afPE UK and
    MoU
  • Regions look at own governance, financial
    structures
  • afPE UK liaise with TBLF on eligible activities
  • afPE UK prepare pro forma application for regions
    to customise
