Return
  • There are three major types of Quranic Naqoosh
  • Naqoosh of Surah or Ayah numbers.
  • Naqoosh of Surah or Ayah Letters and words.
  • Combine Naqoosh of words and numbers.
  • Naqoosh of Quranic Art.
  • This presentation shows all kinds of Quranic
    Naqoosh.
  • It enables you to make your own NAQSH for your
    own purpose.
  • Click any link above (e.g. 1,2 or 3 whichever you
    want)

3
?????? ???? ????
Return
  • This is a blank square in which number of Rows
    and Columns 3 (below).
  • Such Naqoosh, in which rows and columns are equal
in number, are called SQUARE Naqoosh or???? ???? .

4
?????? ???? ????
Return
  • And this is a sequentially filled square (right).
  • You can see that sum of all rows, columns and
    both diagonals is not equal.
  • You can see that sum of one row is not equal to
the sum of other rows and so are the columns.

5
?????? ???? ????
Return
  • More easily you can see that
  • Sum of 1st row 6
  • Sum of 2nd row 15
  • Sum of 3rd row 24
  • Sum of 1st column12
  • Sum of 2nd column 15
  • Sum of 3rd column 18
  • Sum of diagonals 15

6
?????? ???? ????
Return
  • Your target is to set these numbers in the square
in such a way that all the sums are equal (i.e.
sums of all rows and all columns and both
diagonals must be the same or nearest to the
    equal).
  • ???? ?????? ???? ??? ?????? ???? ??? ?????? ???

7
?????? ???? ????
Return
  • You can see that this square is filled
sequentially and does not equal in sums.
  • In this square, sum of all rows, columns and both
diagonals is 15. This is a Simple Unit Square of
    number 3.

8
?????? ???? ???? Simple Unit Squares of 3,4,5
and 6
Return
9
?????? ???? ???? Simple Unit Square of 7
Return
  • This is SUS of 7 and the sum of all rows, columns
and both diagonals is 175. This is rarely used
in Naqoosh because people dont know the sequence
of numbers in a Naqsh of 7 X 7. I can present SUS
of 3 from 30 but more bigger SUS are not used in
    the Naqoosh.

10
?????? ???? ???? Definition of a Simple Unit
Square (SUS)
Return
  • Youve seen five Simple Unit Squares (SUS) of
    3,4,5,6 and 7.
  • A Simple Unit Square (SUS) has following three
    major properties
  • SUS starts with 1 (means the smallest number in
    this square is 1).
  • Sum of rows, columns and diagonals is always
    equal.
  • Number of rows is always equal to number of
    columns.

11
?????? ???? ???? Sum of Rows of Different SUS
Return
  • SUS of 3 must have a sum of 15 from each side.
  • You can also calculate the sum by this formula
  • SumTotal of all numbers in the square/number of
    rows
  • For SUS of 3, sum of all numbers12.945
  • Sum45/3
  • Sum 15

12
?????? ???? ???? Making Naqsh of any Number
Return
  • When you make the Naqsh of any number you want,
    you need following information
  • What will be the 1st number to begin with?
  • What is the SUS for this number?
  • How can we put the numbers in the square?
  • Remember!
  • Numbers are always put in the sequence as in the
    SUS.
  • You have sum of different SUS on previous page.
  • Always start with the smallest number.
  • Now lets have some examples on next page.

13
?????? ???? ???? Example of Making Naqsh of any
Number
Return
  • Suppose youve to make a Naqsh of 3 X 3 for a
number 66 (this means that the sum of each
row/column must be 66), you must have the first
number to begin with. Use this formula

1st Number (No. of Rows Sum required Sum of
SUS) / No. of rows
  • No. of rows 3
  • Sum required 66
  • Sum of SUS 15 (Now apply above formula)
  • 1st No. (3 66 15 ) / 3
  • 1st No. (69 15 ) / 3
  • 1st No. 54 / 3
  • 1st number18 (continued to next slide)

14
?????? ???? ???? Example of Making Naqsh of any
Number
Return
  • Now you have the 1st number 18. Start inserting
numbers one by one in sequence starting with 18.
  • You can see that SUS smallest no. is 1 (above)
and the required Naqsh start with 18 (below).

15
?????? ???? ???? 12Example of Making Naqsh of
any Number
Return
  • Above is a SUS of 3 and below is the square of
    required sum (66).
  • This is an easy way to understand how the
numbers are always put sequentially in the
    corresponding boxes.
  • See details on next slide when finished.

  • You can see that your this square contains
  • 3 rows and 3 columns
  • The sum of all rows and columns is equal to 66
  • The smallest number is 18 (which you calculated
    from the formula).
  • This is your required Naqsh.
  • 66 is also a number for the sweet name of Allah
    ?????.

17
?????? ???? ???? Example of Making Naqsh of any
Number
Return
  • Lets apply this formula on SUS of 5 for a number
125 (it is required sum of rows).
  • No. of rows5, sum required125, sum of SUS65

1st Number (No. of Rows Sum required Sum of
SUS) / No. of rows
  • 1st No. (5 125 - 65) / 5
  • 1st No. (130 - 65) / 5
  • 1st No. 65 / 5
  • 1st No.13
  • Note Sum of SUS (65 in this case) came from the
table shown earlier for SUS of 5.
  • Remember this data and see Naqsh on next slide.

18
?????? ???? ???? Example of Making Naqsh of any
Number
Return
  • Starting number 13 to begin with.
  • Insert numbers from 13 one after another using
the SUS of 5 (above) and youll get the Naqsh of
your required number (125 is the sum of all rows,
columns and diagonals). How simple and amazing is
    this!

19
?????? ???? ???? Example of Making Naqsh of any
Number
Return
  • SUS of 5 (left above) and required square of a
    sum of 125 (right above).
  • Please note that the difference in each
corresponding box is the same as the difference
    in 1 and 13 (13-112).
  • Match all corresponding boxes and youll find a
    difference of 12.

20
?????? ???? ???? Example of Jump Number
Return
  • Some times you need another formula. Look at this
    example.
  • You have to make a Naqsh of SUS 3 with a sum of
    rows 16
  • Apply this formula

1st Number (No. of Rows Sum required Sum of
SUS) / No. of rows
  • 1st number (3 16 15 ) / 3
  • 1st number (19 - 15) / 3
  • 1st number 4 /3 1 (with a remainder of 1
because 4 cannot be divided by 3 completely)
  • What to do now?
  • The answer is Jump.

21
?????? ???? ???? Example of Jump Number
Return
  • Just use Jump method to achieve your correct
    Naqsh.

Jump Number (No. of Rows)2 Remainder X (No.
of Rows) 1
  • You have the remainder of 1 in previous example
of SUS of 3 with a sum of 31.
  • Now use above formula to determine the Jump
    number
  • Jump number (3)2 -1 X 3 1
  • Jump number 9 3 1
  • Jump number 6 1
  • Jump number 7

22
?????? ???? ???? Example of Jump Number
Return
  • Now you have the jump number.
  • Jump number is the number where your number jumps
    by 1.
  • Use this jump number when you make Naqsh.
  • Just add 2 in the box of jump number instead of
adding 1 and fill the square as usual.
  • See the example on next slide and note the change
    in box 7.
  • If you dont use jump method, your answer of sum
will change and your Naqsh may not work properly.
  • In fact, the remainder is the cause of jump in
    Naqoosh.

23
?????? ???? ???? Example of Jump Number
Return
  • Number (or sum of rows required) 16
  • Beginning no. 1
  • Remainder 1
  • Simply ADD 1 IN NUMBER 7 (Jump number).
  • Because 1 is normally added in all boxes so you
can say" Add 2 in the box 7 (Jump number).

?????? ???? ???? Conclusion
Return
  • You need these five things to make a Naqsh of any
    number
  • 1st number (use formula to find this)
  • Jump number (Only in case of remainder, use
    formula to find this)
  • Sum of rows required (such as a sum 92 from each
side. This is not calculated but given)
  • Sum of rows of SUS (can be found from the table
    below)
  • SUS (Simple Unit Square) (5 SUS are presented in
    previous slides)

1st Number (No. of Rows Sum required Sum of
SUS) / No. of rows

???? ? ???? (?????) ???????
Return
  • You have seen Naqoosh of numbers. This chapter
    discusses on Naqoosh of words.
  • Mainly, most Taweezat, of this kind, are based on
    the Quranic Ayah or Sura.
  • Quranic Ayaat or Surahs are written in the Naqsh
format and, off course, there are many styles of
this. Some of the most common styles are
presented here on the next slides. Absorb these
    styles with your full attention.

27
???? ? ???? (?????) ???????
Return
  • This is a most commonly used Naqsh of Qul Shareef
  • You can easily make this if you got the idea.
Same word goes to the right down upto the last
row or last column just like the arrow. The
advantage of this style is that you can write Qul
Shareef so many times that you cannot count how
many times this sura appeared or written in this
Naqsh. This increases the power of your Naqsh.

28
???? ? ???? (?????) ???????
Return
  • You can see that four words ( ?????? ??????? ?
    ??? ????? ? ??????? ????? ? ????? ???? ) are put
in one box together (instead of two boxes) to fit
    the Naqsh for this Sura.

29
This is a Naqsh of 11 X 11. Just like previous,
all letters go down from left to right. The first
and last row and column contains the name of
Allah. The first letter of the name matches the
nearest letter.

  • This is another example of repeating words with
    blank boxes.
  • Put the names of friends from down to up.
  • Put the names of enemies from top to bottom.
  • Press arrow key to see and to remove the arrow.

31
???? ? ???? (?????) ???????
Return
  • This is also a similar Naqsh with empty boxes.
  • You may fill these empty boxes with the names of
the members of your family (from bottom to top)
and may paste a copy of such Naqsh onto your
drawing room wall and this will protect your
family if Allah ????? wishes. Also use this Naqsh
    for Jinn ????

32
???? ? ???? (?????) ???????
Return
  • You can fill 6 names in this Naqsh (in empty
    boxes).
  • This Naqsh is mainly used and given for the
    people who are seeking peace.

33
???? ? ???? (?????) ???????
Return
  • Use this Naqsh when someone wants peace and when
someone needs purity of thoughts and deeds.
  • This is also for a family of 6 members.

34
???? ? ???? (?????) ???????
Return
  • For the family whose members are seven.

35
???? ? ???? (?????) ???????
Return
  • Same Naqsh for a family of eight members.

36
???? ? ???? (?????) ???????
Return
  • Use this Naqsh for a family of 9 members.
  • Never use this Naqsh for a non Muslim.
