Title: Integrity A Life that is Whole

1
IntegrityA Life that is Whole
  • International Leadership Institute

2
Core Value
  • God looks for men and women of integrity who live
holy lives that are accountable to God and to the
Body of Christ. Integrity glorifies God,
protects leaders from stumbling, and encourages
    growth

3
Teaching Objective
  • To seal in the heart of a Christian leader a
    commitment or integrity in spite
    of circumstances.

4
Introduction
  • The greatest challenge of leadership is to
maintain integrity. Christians are called to be
holy and live a life of purity. When leaders
fail to maintain integrity, their family and
ministry, and even the work of the Church suffer
    the consequences.

5
Workshop
  • The challenge of Integrity

6
Biblical Foundation
Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may
stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands
and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul
to an idol or swear by what is false. He will
receive blessing from the LORD and vindication
from God his Savior
Psalm 243-5
7
Integrity is
  • Inward
  • Outward

8
What is Integrity
In simple terms, integrity is being the same in
heart, mind and actions
9
Integrity Definitions and Descriptions
  • 1. Integrityan integrated life
  • 2. Integritysame in heart, mind, action
  • 3. Integritywhole, undivided, complete
  • 4. Integritykeeping promises

10
Integrity
  • What I am whole.
  • Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity. You
are not swayed by men because you pay no
attention to who they are but you teach the way
of God in accordance with the truth.

  • (Mark 1214)

11
Integrity
  • Is the quality or condition of being whole or
undivided completeness. Integrity comes from the
word integer, which means whole or complete/
It is the opposite of the hypocrisy.
  • MacArthur The Power of Integrity Building a
    Life without Compromise.

12
Integrity
  • What I stand On committed to my promises
  • Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,'
'No' anything beyond this comes from the evil
    one.

  • (Matthew 537)

13
Integrity
  • In its simplest terms is keeping promises.
The person of integrity is one who when he/she
says something, can be trusted. When he/she
gives their word, you can count on it.
  • MacArthur What Makes a Man Promises That Will
    Change Your Life.

14
Integrity
  • What I Do actions consistent with my promises
  • Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord will
enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does
the will of my Father who is in heaven.

  • (Matthew 721)

15
Integrity
  • The Christian life is to be an uninterrupted
continuity between all beliefs and practices and
relationships. It is to be an integrated life as
    opposed to a segregated life.
  • Leith Anderson Winning the Values War in a
    Changing Culture.

16
Workshop on Integrity
Divide up into three groups. Take Fifteen minutes
to prepare a Five minute presentation that will
illustrate the biblical examples of integrity.
  • Daniel 13-8 Kitchen
  • Daniel 313-19 Face of Fire
  • Daniel 61-13 Face of Lions

17
Conclusion
  • Integrity is living Christianity because it is
right and the best thing to do no matter what the
circumstances. The choices of the Christian life
are determined by the values we have learned from
God, not the circumstances that happen to us.

18
Conclusion
  • We accept the certainty of circumstances but also
exercise the responsibility of human choice. A
Christian wants to know about him/herself not
what happened to you but rather, how did I
    respond.
