fun and help Action Cancer at the same time!
The competition will take place at Belfast
Harlequin Playing Fields with a maximum of 24
teams, battling it out to claim the infamous 2007
Action Cancer Cup! Men and women, young and old
are all encouraged to participate in this fun
filled day. Extra points will be awarded to those
with female players.
If you think you have the skills and agility to
compete in this event and are 16 years or older,
simply complete the enclosed registration form
and send with your 70 deposit. Places are
limited and based on a first come first served
policy, so to guarantee your teams place
register today!
2- World Cup Tag Rugby Tournament 2007
- Date The tournament will take place at Belfast
Harlequin R.F.C, Belfast on Saturday 4th August
2007 - Timings Each team is guaranteed to play at least
three matches (each match lasting approximately
15 minutes). - TimingsThere will be six pitches in operation,
so the average time between each match will be
approximately 15 minutes. - FormatThe top 12 teams will then compete for a
place in the finals and there will be trophies
for those who reach the quarter finals! - Registration will begin at 930 am. Team captains
are requested to sign their teams in and are
responsible for ensuring that all their team is
present and correct. - Each team should be registered by 9.45am so the
first matches can begin as scheduled (please
note, if you are late, you hold up the entire
tournament). - Teams should be at the appropriate pitch, ready
to kick-off at 10am sharp. - Please ensure that your team is wearing the same
colour of T-Shirt. - Please bring towels, in event of it being a rainy
day - There will be refreshments, so feel free to bring
along family and friends, at a charge of 3.00
per person, 1.50 per child. - Please remember to bring a copy of the rule sheet
with you.

- 1. Referees decisions will be final at all
times. - 2. Standard Tag rules will apply please see
Rules page. - No studs are allowed on the pitches at any time.

- 3. Allowances for having female players All
teams entering need at least 3 girls on the pitch
at all times, inclusing injuries and sin binning.
If not they will be disqualified. - 4. The winner and runner up of each group will
qualify for the next round.
4Registration Sponsorship If you would like to
participate in World Cup Tag Rugby Tournament
2007 on behalf of Action Cancer, simply complete
the registration form. Please feel free to
photocopy the form for others! The registration
fee for this event is 70 per team and should be
returned with the registration form. Each team
has to raise a minimum sponsorship of 500.

- Action Cancer
- Cancer has overtaken heart disease as the biggest
killer in Northern Ireland, with one in three
people given a diagnosis of cancer at some stage
in their lives. Action Cancer is on hand to
provide advice and support. - The money raised by Football Frenzy will be used
to help Action Cancer fund its life-saving
services. These services include the following - Womens early detection clinics for breast and
cervical cancer. - A mobile unit that travels into community and
rural areas to provide breast and cervical
screening - Mens Health programme early detection clinics
for testicular and prostate cancer - Support Services for all people affected by
cancer including relatives, carers and health
professionals. The services available are - One to one counselling carried out by trained
counsellors - Complementary therapy service including
reflexology, massage relaxation - Yoga and meditation
- Action Cancer also supports cancer research
projects in local universities and funds part of
the Northern Ireland Cancer Genetics Service. - Action Cancer relies on the generosity of the
general public. We must raise 3 million each
year to maintain our life-saving services. All of
the funds raised by the charity are spent in
Northern Ireland. - We hope you will take part in this and help
Action Cancer raise much needed funds to continue
