• Hand-held computer that is derived from
  electronic personal address books and organizers
• First PDA was introduced in 1984 by Psion Company
  
• John Sculley is the individual who coined the
  term personal digital assistant, and in August
  1993, Apple introduced its first PDA, the Newton
• Information can quickly and easily be transferred
  from the desktop to the PDA or vise versa

• In April 1973, the first modern portable cell
  phone was introduced it was invented by Dr.
  Martin Cooper
• Cellular calls are transferred from base station
  to base station as a user travels from cell to
  cell
• Many cell phones also offer their users the
  ability to change the ring tones, program
  numbers, and offer access to the Internet
