When was Rosa Parks Born?

• She was born February 4, 1913 in Tuskegee,
  Alabama.
• At the age of two she moved to her grandparents
  farm in Pine Level, Alabama with her mother and
  young brother Sylvester.

When Rosa Died

• She died October 24,2005.
• She died when she was 92 years old.
• She died of old age.
• After her death her casket was placed in the
  Rotunda for two days, so the nation could pay
  their respect.

• Rosa was married to Raymond Parks.
• They didnt have any children.
• Rosa and Raymond were married for forty-five
  years.
• She and Raymond got married in December 1932.

Rosa and Raymond Careers

• Rosa was a dressmaker, seamstress, life insurance
  agent, a housekeeper, a hotel supervisor, civil
  rights activist, a speaker, and a author.
• Raymond was a barber, and a civil right activist
  to encourage black people to vote.
• Raymond worked secretly for the National
  Committee to save the Scottsboro Boys, and was
  later a member of the Advancement of colored
  purple (NAACP).

• Rosa Parks started her own movie called The Rosa
  Parks Story starring Angela Bassett released in
  2002, filmed in Alabama.
