- The DON Small Business Specialist will have

leadership acting in partnership to identify and
develop small business concerns to support the
Navy-Marine Corps Force for Tomorrow

- SB program will establish the qualifications for
SBS
- The Navy SB Council will establish a program
theme for implementation throughout DON
- The Navy OSBP will conduct recurring reviews in
conjunction with the Procurement Performance
Measurement Program at each HCA to determine the
effectiveness of the SB program - SBS will advise commanding officers on their
responsibilities to implement SB programs
consistent with FAR 19.201 and provide an
assessment of Commands implementation of SB
program. Command will provide adequate resources
to implement SB program objective

TEAMWORK
- The DON SBS as part of the acquisition team will
be active partners with both internal and
external stake holders to maximize the
opportunities for small businesses by emphasizing
and recognizing the critical role of small
businesses in advancing DONS mission and the
