- Two prompts (one of each type) are required in
all grades between the Fall and Winter diagnostic
tests.

- After the winter diagnostic administration
schools must complete two additional
administrations (one of each type of prompt) at
grades 3 - 10. - Schools must administer these two additional
administrations to grades 4, 8 and 10 before FCAT
Writing in February. - Schools in Need of Improvement (SINI) must
administer the expository prompt to grades 4, 8
and 10 between December 15, 2008 and January
9, 2009. - Schools must complete these two additional
administrations to grades 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 by the
end of the school year.

- Schools must maintain an FCAT Security Log for
each testing room - ALL comment forms will be available only ONLINE
- When a student has started a test and leaves the
building without finishing (for an appointment,
illness, etc.) - he or she will NOT be allowed to complete the
test - No exceptions will be made once the student
leaves the building - therefore, if you have concerns about a students
ability to complete a test, you should not allow
the student to begin - consider administering the test during one of the
make-up days.
