What causes a rash???
  • Skin Disorders eczema, psoriasis, yeast
    infections
  • Hives allergic reaction to food, bites or
    stings, contact irritants

  • Virus chicken pox, shingles, fifth disease,
    measles, rubella, roseola
  • Cured with TIME
  • Bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas
    aeruginosa, impetigo, cellulitis
  • Cured with ANTIBIOTICS

When to worry(Skin Disorders and Hives)
  • Appearance of a rash that is new
  • Not the typical rash of eczema or psoriasis
  • Hives with swollen lips, tongue or abdominal pain
    and vomiting
  • Anaphylactic reaction respiratory emergency

Exposure
  • Healthy appearing person is exposed to a virus or
    bacteria
  • They either prevent it from taking hold
  • Hand washing, healthy coughs and sneezes, general
    healthy lifestyle
  • They become the host and incubate
  • Immune compromised, underlying medical condition,
    poor health, poor hygiene, generally run down
  • You CAN NOT transmit exposure

  • The time from exposure until onset of symptoms
  • Person feels fine and acts fine
  • The time is different for different diseases
  • Different person to person

  • Just before the illness
  • Fever
  • Malaise
  • Off
  • Headache
  • Lights bother the eyes
  • Sudden appearance of a rash
  • The start of being Contagious
