  contemporary African and African Diaspora Art is
  showcased and embraced. It is a place where
  artists and non-artists can come together and
  exchange ideas.
• The design of Akego is inspired by the African
  Art that it showcases. African Art
  characteristics like smooth and organic forms,
  luminosity, balance, diversity and the notion of
  a passage are the underlying design elements in
  Akego.
