• Media Projects (Due April 28 30)
• Student teams will be responsible for writing a
  critical analysis of a 20 min. segment from a
  recent television show using a specific concept
  or theory covered during the semester.
• You must receive pre-approval from the instructor
  of your topic and media source.
• The analysis should focus on how one specific
  concept or theory can be used to explain the
  group interactions that take place on the
  television show (e.g. The Simpsons The Impact of
  Roles and Role Stress on Family Relations).
• Along with your write-up, you will need to submit
  a copy of the media on a CD/DVD/VHS.
• The project is your opportunity to demonstrate
  your knowledge of group dynamics and how these
  principles can be applied to real/semi-real life
  situations. The analysis should be 4-6 pages in
  length.
• During your presentation you may show a 5-10 clip
  of your media and deliver a 10-15 minute analysis
  of the show.
• If you mention a concept, define it and make sure
  the reader clearly understands how and why it
  applies to the article.
• If you mention a concept, make sure that you
  actually understand it.
• PROOFREAD! Make sure that the paper presents and
  organized and coherent analysis. (try reading it
  out loud to each other)
