- In 2004, the CDC released new estimates that the
number of underage deaths due to excessive use of
alcohol was 4,554 - In 2004, 1 in 3 tenth graders and nearly 1 out
of 2 twelfth graders were current drinkers - 33 of these teens rode in a vehicle with a DUI
driver - Drinking and driving is the leading cause of
death in teenagers
4In 2004, Monitoring the Future (MTF) reported
that -1 out of 5 eighth graders -1 out of
3 tenth graders -1 out of 2 twelfth
graderswere current drinkers

- The program is a 2 day docu-drama held in schools
nationwide to educate teens about the dangers of
substance/alcohol abuse and driving a motor
vehicle - It is a program that connects adults, teens,
parents, and communities in an effort to save
lives

1- Become part of the Chugiak High School Every
15 Minutes Advisory Team 2- Volunteer to
participate in the two day docu-drama on APRIL 18
19, 2006 3- Recruit others! Help get the word
out to parents, teens, community members and
business owners
