Plugging It In
  • Situate carts near to both power and Ethernet
    wall connections.
  • Plug both power and Ethernet from Primary cart
    into wall.
  • Plug in electrical power of Secondary cart
  • Connect VGA cable from Secondary cart into
    Primary cart.

Microphone Placement
Place the microphone(s) near the center of the
particpants and in a location such that noone
will trip over the cable.
Note When the microphone is muted the button is
illuminated.

Preparing to Connect
  • Pick up System Remote Control
  • Place a Call screen appears. If it does not,
    check to make sure that all power and Ethernet
    cables are plugged into wall, power and video
    cables are plugged between carts and TVs are
    powered on.
  • SCHEDULED CLASSES CONNECT AUTOMATICALLY. Skip to
    Step 6.

  • IF EVENT IS UNSCHEDULED or in the unlikely case
    that a scheduled class fails to connect, press
    Home , then Directory .
  • Select Directory site.
  • Press CallHang Up.

Adjusting the Sound
  • If appears onscreen, press Mute
    on the remote or on the microphone.
  • Adjust volume to desired level by using
    .

Connecting the System
  • Turn power switches on camera unit and both
    televisions to ON position (camera will swivel).

During the Conference
  • Adjust audio settings and/or microphone
    placement.
  • Adjust camera view.
  • Hand out/collectcourse materials per
    faculty/presenter's instructions.

Viewing Range
  • The 2-6 x diagonal size rule
  • Students should sit between 6 and 18 feet from
    the screens for best viewing.

Camera Functions
  • If you are in a call, use Near/Far to choose a
    camera to control. The icon on the screen
    indicates which sites camera is selected
  • Note far end camera control is not always
    available.

Ending a Confernce Call
  • Press Call-Hang Up.
  • Confirm that you want to end the call.

Secure the System
  • Mute Microphones
  • Place Microphones on carts
  • If necessary, move carts out of way for next
    class.

  • If possible, leave data and power cords plugged
    in.
  • Turn TVs Off.
  • Leave CODEC on!
