Doncaster Council Flood Action Plan
  • A Flood Action Plan produced which identifies all

Community Flood Wardens
  • DMBC has worked with the Environment Agency to
    develop a Community Flood Wardens group in Toll
    Bar.
  • These arrangements are recognised and supported
    by DMBC, EA and SYP.
  • A model plan has been developed for other groups
    to use
  • Proposed to create other Flood Warden groups
    across the Borough in known risk areas

Doncaster Flood Forum
  • A Doncaster Flood Forum has been established by
    Doncaster Council, with representation from
    senior managers in Partner Agencies
  • The objectives of the Forum include
  • Improving coordination between agencies
  • Improve understanding of Risk
  • Enhance Emergency Response Plans for Flooding
  • Identify potential flooding areas and make
    recommendations to rectify them

Drainage issues
  • Working group has been established by Doncaster
    Council to address operational flooding issues
    and support the work of the Doncaster Flood Forum
  • The group will advise the Doncaster Flood Forum
    of progress made and any issues that need to be
    addressed

    draws on the SFRA
  • Interim Planning Position Statements (PPS25) have
    been produced
  • Training on the SFRA and Developers Guidance to
    Members, Officers and Planning Agents has been
    undertaken
  • The production of a Supplementary Planning
    Document on Flood Risk is planned
