Their Dream

the time were the biggest ships in the world and
they wanted them to cross the Atlantic ocean with
    record time and speed.
  • The R.M.S. Titanic was a White Star Line
steamship carrying the British flag, built by
Harland and Wolff of Belfast, Ireland. No

Titanic's Maiden Voyage
  • After taking on additional crew, passengers and
mail in Southampton it was off to Cherbourg to
take on more passengers. Titanic's last stop, at
Queenstown, saw the loading of the last of the
passengers and mail. Then she set off to cross
the Atlantic Ocean and reach New York City in
    record time.

What Happend?
  • Titanic was on her maiden voyage and shortly
before midnight on April 14,1912 she struck a ice
burg. Captain Smith ignored several ice burg
warnings knowing about the dangers out there. The
ice burg punctured five of its water tight
compartment she could have stayed afloat if only
four were punctured but not five. She finally
went under about 220am on April 15,1912. She
sank and killed 1,500 passengers and crew.
