1st Reading

• As the church increased in numbers and diversity
  there were bound to be problems. When the
  community was ethnically and culturally similar,
  things were harmonious. However, the Spirit
  inspired the Church to form new ministries so
  that the preaching of the Word may not be
  neglected.

2nd Reading

• Peter says that the Church is like a building
  with Christ as the cornerstone. Upon Him the
  whole edifice is constructed. We, the believers,
  are the living stones, built into a sacred
  temple in which to worship the Lord.
• Jesus is our foundation on which everything
  depends.

Gospel

• Jesus tells us that there are many dwelling
  places in Gods house, room for everyone.
  However, anyone who wants to come to God must
  come through Jesus alone for Jesus Christ is the
  Way, the Truth and the Life.

Very important lesson

• Due to the size and diversity of the Church,
  problems are bound to happen.
• We must give utmost priority to the preaching of
  the Word of God at all times.
• Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. In
  solving Church problems, we must turn to Him for
  answers.
