Evolution of Statistics Work in Thailand

• 1915 Statistical Forecast Bureau (SFB) was found
  under Ministry of The Royal Treasury
• 1951 SFB was upgraded to Central Statistical
  Office under National Economic Council
• 1952 First Statistics Act was enacted to outline
  National Statistical System
• 1965 Statistics Act was promulgated by amending
  1952 Act

Roles and responsibilities of statistical
organizations

• NSO
• Produce fundamental statistics
