• Natural sandy beach with slop
• Large difference between high tide and low tide

Present Practices

• Labour intensive
• Efficient use of recovered materials reduces
  environmental pollution
• Reuse of whole equipment such as transformers,
  engines, batteries etc.
• Indigenous use of cable sheathing and other
  rubber material
• Manual recovery of spilled oil has higher
  efficiency
