• SiP is an electronic workflow tool that allows
  departments to submit the following forms to
  Finance and Human Resources

• Appointment Forms
• Change to Appointment Forms
• One-Off Payments
• Leavers Notifications (inclusive of retirement
  forms)

Expected Benefits

• reduction in cycle times for processing
  appointments and changes
• eliminating weaknesses associated with paper
  forms (e.g. delays in post forms going missing
  need to copy forms)
• incorporating validation at the point of
  submission and reducing incidents of incomplete
  data
• making the progress of requests transparent to
  user departments
• automating the tracking of requests and
  production of corporate and departmental
  management information

• 19 Dec 2005 - Request for details
• 16 Feb 2005 Briefing Schedule
• Deadline for withdrawal of paper forms May 2006
• 31 May 2006 midnight paper forms withdrawn

• 256 Attendees of whom 252 attended the whole
  session 640 person hours of briefings about SiP

• password change every 150 days
• new saved status ("Save (tbs)" -- To Be

• forms visible to managers and DAs higher up the
  hierarchy
• Improved cost code validation
