• Music is the heart and soul of pop culture
  today all around the world. Especially now do we
  look to the entertainment industry to get us out
  of hard times and make us laugh. Letting people
  know they can express themselves through song,
  film, and art, instead of violence, is my passion.

Preparing for My Career

• In the entertainment business, a college degree
  is not always required, but is something I still
  want to have. With a college degree I will be
  more qualified to fit executive positions of
  management and ownership. Colleges that offer a
  degree in my field?
• Julliard
• Harvard
• Yale

• Who are the top employers in my career field?
• Record Companies- Sign you on and pay you once
  your record has sold. They also pay for your
  expenses as a performer, but you are expected to
  pay them back with the money from all of your
  sales.
• Production companies- Hire you to be a producer,
  director, and writer and you get paid from sales
  of movies and records

• Grew up in Arizona and New Jersey
• Dropped out of college to pursue film career
• Steven Spielberg is the king of movies. Almost
  all of the popular movies made in the last decade
  were made by him. He has written, direction,
  produced movies such as, E.T, Hook, and
  Jaws. What do we have in common? Steven has
  said he Always had a love and fascination with
  the movie industry, my feelings exactly.

• Was ten when he wrote his first song
• Has won three Grammys
• Is a producer, performer, and songwriter.
• Has written an original screenplay, Clubland.
• Glen Ballard has almost the exact job I want. He
  is a producer, performer, songwriter, and he is
  also in the movie business. He has worked with
  such people as Quincy Jones, Alanis Morissette,
  and has written for half a dozen films, including
  Batman.
