  • Booming growth By 2010, Greater Washingtons
    population is expected to grow by 8.5, which is
    three times the projected growth of New York
    City, twice the growth of Chicago and four times
    that of San Francisco.
  • Changing faces In 2010, minority populations
    will represent nearly half (46) of the total
    population in Greater Washington. Greater
    Washingtons Hispanic and Asian communities are
    expected to grow by over 20 by 2010.
  • International suburbs Montgomery County,
    Maryland and Fairfax County, Virginia have a
    higher density of foreign-born residents than
    Chicago, New York, and San Francisco.
