e-Transformation Turkey Project
- e-Health Working Group established in the context
of e-Transformation Turkey Project under the
authority of SPO. - 15 actions determined on e-Health as basic
building blocks of HIS. - Those actions mostly completed and evaluated by
SPO.

ITU to provide assistance in the implementation
of Turkeys e-Health Project and support in their
Health Transformation Project.

Implementation Document published with support of
the ITU. - The Minister of Health has approved their
recommendation of the ITU.

- The conversion of the existing LAN-WAN into a
true health network platform to be known as
Saglik-Net, providing linkages, services and data
repositories (e.g. minimum data sets of
Electronic Health Records) to the all those
authorized in the health sector. - Saglik-Net is operational now.

- Establishment of a Health Data Operation Centre
for Electronic Health Records. -

- A National Health Data Dictionary as one example
of number of standards that have been either
adapted or developed by the Ministry to ensure
nation-wide compatibility of health information

- The adoption of the TUBITAK (Technical and
Scientific Research Council) solution for Digital
(sign)Security in Turkey. - A pilot study has been started under the
umbrella of Information Society Strategy Action
Plan. Health and Insurance sectors are determined
for the first pilot implementation.
