Miri
Miri is the main character in princess academy.
She has a sweet personality. Miri has very
dirty blond hair. She wears it down in a braid
behind. She got her name form a miri flower. She
is the youngest child in the family. She is about
13 years old. Miri gets put in a challenge. She
really doesnt want to leave. When she puts her
mind to something. She will try to succeed. She
loves going outside a sitting under her favorite
tree on top of a hill looking down on the quarry
workers. Her father wont let her be a quarry
worker. Soon in the story her father In this
story Miri finds out that her mother died working
in a quarry. She never asked her dad to work in
the quarry again. Miri gets put in a challenge.
She uses her nice, outgoing personality and does
her best. In the challenge she really doesnt
know what to do. She doesnt know what she wants.

• Pa

Pa is the father of Mardra and Miri. He is a
single father because his wife died while working
in a quarry. Pa is a strong man and will do
whatever to make sure his little girls to be
safe. Pa is very protective over his children
,but, when one of his children have an idea he
will consider it.
Mardra is kind of the opposite of Miri. Mardra
works in the quarry. Mardra doesnt want to work
in the quarry though. She is the oldest child in
the family . She is 17 almost 18 years old.
Mardra doesnt get put into the challenge like
her sister. She doesnt get put in the challenge
because she is just a couple months old for the
date line. But, she wants to get put in the
challenge.

Miris main friends Pender is Miris main friend
threw out their whole life. They use to play when
they where little. Now that they are older they
secretly start to like each other. Pender jealous
when Miri goes to princess academy and compete to
marry the prince. Britta becomes Miris friend
when they meet at the academy. Britta moves to
mount eskel so Britta can compete to marry the
prince. But, she secretly already knows the
prince. When they where little they use to play
together then he became prince and ever since her
and her parents always wanted her to marry the
prince. Britta is pretty much Mires only friend
at princess academy.

SETTING

• The fist setting is in mount Eskel. A plain and a
  little village where people work together. There
  are stores, cottages, and a camp fire where
  people get together for the holidays
• This book takes place back when there bandits.
• In the village there is Miris families house.
  This cottage is small and they all share one
  room. And there is a kitchen.
• This setting takes place at the princess academy.
  This is where all the girls are taught how to
  become a princess. There are bunk beds where the
  girls sleep. Olana is the teacher. This scene is
  where most of the book is at.
• The last setting takes place at the princes ball.
  There was an orchestra, candles, fancy lamps and
  cloths, and long beautiful dresses.

SUMMARY

• This story is about a girl named Miri who
  lives in mount Eskel. She loves living there but
  she wants to work in the quarry. Her dad wont let
  her. Pender is her friend who she secretly likes,
  likes. Then, one day the king set up a Princess
  academy to see who the prince will marry. Every
  child at the age from 12 and up to 17 has to
  attend. Miri really doesnt want to go, but, she
  is forced. The whole time she thinks of Pender
  and if the prince chooses her. Then shell have to
  choose. Miri also meets a new friend.

TURNING POINT

• While Miri was at Princess academy. She
  meet a friend named Britta. It was the only
  friend she had. One day while Miri just told
  Pender that she kind of wanted to become the
  princess, he stormed away. Then she heard a
  scream in the academy so she ran in and the cook
  had a broken arm. And all the girls where tied up
  and screaming and right there in front of her
  there was a Bandit!

OUTCOMES

• The outcome of the story is that when Pender
  stormed away , he heard the girls screamed so he
  went to go get all the parents. And soon enough
  the parents got the girls and the bandits ran
  away. When the girls headed back to mount Eskel.
  They decided to go back to the princess academy
  since the prince is coming tomorrow to choose.
  Britta told miri that she already knew the
  prince. Miri comforted Britta because she was all
  nervous. The prince choose Britta and Miri was
  relived. Britta and the prince invited Miri to
  her wedding. When she came back, Pender was
  relieved. And he said that he needs to talk to
  her.

STUDENT RECOMMENDATION

• I recommend this book because you dont
  know what's going to happen next. Its based back
  in the day and I learned more about bandits. Its
  kind of a sad, love, adventure book. Its a good
  book for girls. Not really for guys. I recommend
  Princess Academy.
